General question here. I recently started to build a new cbg using a Jailbreak box. I'm learning that there were only 300 boxes made. The guitar is turning out nicer than I expected. My plan was to give it to my 11 uear old stepson for Christmas.....which I'll probably still do. My question is, could this box....now a cbg....be worth anything more than your regular higher production boxes? Anyone know anything about Jailbreak boxes?

  • Thanks Wayfinder! I already cut the box. By the time I hit the sack tonight, it should be a complete guitar. He'll get this for Christmas for sure. Just wondering how much I should babysit the guitar if the box is worth anything. It's a fairly new box so that could explain why it's not mentioned too much out there. Just didn't know if someone had the inside scoop on this particular box. Thanks for taking the time to look into it. Merry Christmas!
    • That's all I need to know. He'll love the guitar and he can actually play it without worrying about....adding character. Thanks again guys!!!
    • Wayfinder nailed it, I think you'll find that either an individual cigar or a box full may be of some value because of how they're made (cigar in cigar), as for the box unless it's an un-opened full one I think it's just going to be an empty cigar box for a a good few decades yet and only then will it 'possibly' raise in value due to the quirkiness of the once held cigar. They (the cigar) have already been called nothing more than a gimmick.

Labels on the other hand are big business but they too will peak soon in my opinion as the market is starting to flood with all the repo's and it's getting harder to tell the difference. Personally, finish the CBG but print out the info/reason on the cigar and stick it inside - if someone opens it in a hundred years at least they'll know exactly what was in it before it made it to CBG status '-)
