I saw a fairly new material on the Texas Knifeworks page, Kirinite. Has anyone used it for nuts or saddles? There are a lot of different colors and patterns, if it will work, it would look awesome!

If it makes a solid, durable knife scale, it should work fine... compares itself to Corian... Seems expensive to this cheapo...
Though if I do the math... $21 ... 3/8" thick x 1.5 x6" is enough to make 8-12 nuts if you have a band saw... Maybe...
i looked at the website too. it looks like the knife scale pairs are the cheapest way to get this. or maybe th 1 1/4"square block. going to need a bandsaw to cut it. my only thought is if it is dense enough. one web site i read said it was like acrylic..
