For the past month I've been working on my fourth and fifth guitars. I've been making them for my daughters. They are young but enthusiastic about it and they both wanted to paint theirs, in their own style. My arrangement was this: I get to design and make the guitar and you can't paint it however you like. For both of them, I used Oliva boxes, sanded them down, prepped and primed each box and the girls just started painting them tonight. It's kinda exciting to be creatively collaborating and I believe the results will be incredibly rewarding. We still have a few more chores to be done on these beauties but I will post the completed instruments.

You're a great Dad, take lots of pics.
That's awesome Christopher!
Here's a little tip for you. Get them each a clip on tuner and teach them how to tune as their very first lesson. If you don't you are going to spend a lot of time tuning guitars or listening to f̶i̶n̶g̶e̶r̶n̶a̶i̶l̶s̶ ̶o̶n̶ ̶a̶ ̶c̶h̶a̶l̶k̶b̶o̶a̶r̶d̶ somewhat discordant music. : )
