    Yes, The only thing on a coconut palm that is hard, is the nut shell. The tree trunk does not even make good fire wood, it smells real bad when burned.

    I like the coconut shell fretboard idea. The color of the coconut shell and overall theme is a good match. Coconut shells are very hard.
