I am almost at the assembly stage of my cigar box preamp and I have a great little box that fits everything fine, but I was wondering if input and output jacks need to be spaced well apart from each other, and likewise the circuits due to causing interference with each other? Does it matter with a device for signal boosting, or not? All the best from Bill. :D

  • Here's a link to someone who was building a large bypass and loop setup

Just wanted to show ya how packed these jacks can get. I've seen many project where there is multiple inputs and outs. All with the jacks very close to each another.

    • Yikes, I get cross-eyed just looking at that many solder points! Thanks for the link.

  • As long as they are not touching each other your fine. If your still worried about cross talk wrap em up in electrical tape.

    • Great, that's just the job then. I'll post some pictures when it's done.
