Help With Tuning

hi - My 3 string CBG has strings of 24 + 32 + 42 gauge. Trying to tune them into GDG and since I'm tone deaf  I need to use an aid. Tried gStrings but no idea if it worked.

Is there a better way to tune the guitar and is GDG possible with the gauge of strings I have? If not what would be a better scale?

    Thanks for the help & comments - now go it tuned watching the Ben & Glenn video. I alos used the app Soundcorset which more useful, I found, than gStrings.

    The string gauges are similar to the cbgitty open G set, so you should be fine? DAD & EBE tunings good with those gauges? This video might help, do you not have a digital tuner?
