My magnet mounted neck on top ammo box guitar led me to a great discovery.  The added width of the magnets meant that the flying bridge didn't reach the box.  Originally I had the magnet attached to the neck so the flying bridge could rest on it.  Then my little brain had an idea.  What if I move the magnet further down the neck and stick my stick on piezo between the flying bridge and the box on the treble side.  Presto, it sounds great!  Now I wonder if I put another one under the bridge on the other side, would I get a stereo signal that would be worth the extra cost?

  • If you can try moving the piezo to the other side. If it give you the same sound then go for it.

  • You could use a blender pot. Get one piezo or the other or a combination of both.
