It is an interesting design but for $30,000 I am surprised it hasn't got top of the range pickups/preamps/unlimited beer tap. As someone pointed out on youtube it does sound a bit like a banjo.
It makes me wonder what type of cigar box guitar Ken Parker could make.

Yep , believe it or not, these things can be built with traditional, and non-traditional, lutherie techniques.
Which also means that you can do just about anything to these that you would a regular guitar.
