We all know that there are many different types of glues out there, and in guitar building its good idea to have the correct glue for the job. In many instruments parts that are glued sometimes need to be unglued, for repairs or modification. Some glues are easily separated, and some, like epoxy take a bit of work.
Here is a photo of a bridge that somebody had glued to the top with Epoxy glue, that's going to hold forever, right?, well it would have done if the wood had not given way. The epoxy made this job pretty expensive with work needed inside and outside of the guitar.
It would have been better the bridge to be glued with a regular glue and to have let go easier and earlier, instead of hanging in there until the top had pulled so far up it let go anyway.
Check out the repair photos........
