The voice behind "The Chairman of the Board" who was known for the hits "Carolina Girls" and "Give Me Just a Little More Time"

general johnson had a tremendous voice and had a super band beside him. the 'showmen' were a super a band in da day. sure will be a sad at the shag club. 'no more time general'

People not from the South Eastern US probably will not know what our Beach Music really is.
Anyway, General Norman Johnson was a friend of mine going back to the 1960's. I played bass behind him on 100's of gigs. Back then he had a group known as the Showmen. I will miss him but his music will live on.
