Youtube star, "SlapMonsterJoel" rocks out on a jerry can bass built by Marcus Reeves. The bass is plugged into a Hartke LH1000 head and a 410 hydrive cab with no effects.
With a little more searching, we've discovered a second gas can bass filmed by Travis McGreat. The bass is a lot more homemade and DIY than the one above. It features homemade tuning pegs and a Gitty Gold Foil Pickup.

Here is my gas can bass and my wine box bass.
They are both 2 stringers. The neck on the gas can bass was an old shovel handle and the neck on the wine box was a wheel barrow handle.

Great Video, Great Sound. Very entertaining.
Bass made from a Korean War era water jug. Custom cast aluminum neck mount and bridge. Sounds sweet and stays in tune forever.
Like cool man. I do like it, great job!
Really enjoyed the video that came up after the 2nd bass video of Homemade Jamz Blues Band where the guitar and bass players were playing guitars made from car mufflers.
But yes the Canjo Basses sound good too.
