Fret slot setup

Ok I got my slotting setup going.  I just got one of gitty's templates, THANKS BEN!!  and the irwin pull saw, coupled with an xacto miter box I have had for years and viola! it works slick!

So if you are looking for an inexpensive setup there it is, $30 all in, box, template, and saw.

    I think Xacto only makes one, it is 1 3/4" inside and slotted for 90 degrees and a 45 both ways.  if you get the kit with the saw, the kerf of the xacto saw is a bit thin the irwin saw goes in and cuts nicely.  I just bury the teeth and that is the depth I use.

    Awesome. Do you happen to have a model number on the miter box. I searched amazon and see one but cannot tell from the description if it is the one and wide enough to hold a fretboard.
