I was at a metal fab shop today and spied some nice stainless steel scrap.  Told I could have it I of course snapped it up in a hurry.  So back at the shop I cut a piece to fit the Stanley FatMax blade and super glued it at the right fret depth.

So now I can mark out the fret positions with my square and then go back and saw them to depth with ease.  I did a search and it was mentioned back in 012 so thought I'd post a 'refresher'.  And it works like a charm...

  • One of my typical no brain moments I post the same pic twice...  doh...

@Fitch - yes it is a FatMax flush cut saw, double sided.  I like it because now I can use one side for marking my frets positions against my square and simply flip it over and saw the fret position to depth without having to keep checking depth and evenness across the board.

The other picture I intended to post...  hope I can get it right this time.
