I am new to this building thing,before I go to far .Has anyone ever mounted a sound hole pickup

from a six string gutiar on a 3 string,cigar box ? If so what is required to do that.

Never tried it. I don't know if sound hole pickups for acoustics are different in nature than standard mag pickups, but I can imagine there's some way to do it...
