Sort of depends on the scale length & the sound you are after.
I was not happy with the tinny, banjo sound of this 24 inch scale CBG even when tuned EBE. So, I switched to heavier strings, .056", .044". & .032". Big improvement. Sounds great in E tuning (which I much prefer).
