Looking at reducing costs, so I am going back (on most builds) to all-thread bridge and nut.
I found a very nice looking combination, threaded rod with brass acorn nuts on the ends. Looks real sharp, and you can adjust string heights with different diameter rod.
I do wire wheel the hell out of the threads, and inspect the lay of each string and if needed, do a little fret file work...

I love using the threaded rod for nut and bridge because they come with built in string spacers. ;)
I use a brass rod for the nut and a steel rod for the bridge for the perfect combination of enough sustain and harmonics.
