  • just checked out the hodad! i like it think im gonna buy me one!
  • I just saw the pics of Wesley's Amps, way coool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • For a mini-amp it has defintely the coolest looks. Last year i bought a mini-amp of Roland where you can plug in your mike and guitar at the same time, battery powered and also good for busking and as a preamp. It even has a delay, distortion and overdrive. But definitely no cool looks :)

  • I ended up with the HoneyTone and love it! If I run across a Ho-Dad I'll probably pick it up, mainly to try the reverb.
  • Never tried a Ho Dad,so I cant compare.
But I use only the Honeytone to demo my CBG's.
My customers like the old time look and they say it matches the CBG vibes LOL
I Do run mine through VERY OLD "Corned Beef" to get more depth to the sound and it works great.
We only sell Honeytones in fact.
  • How do they sound with piezo pick ups? And would a piezo need a preamp?
  • I know I'm way late on this, but I have both a Honey Tone and a Hodad, and I'm absolutely in love with the Hodad. I don't use the tremolo too much, but with the echo on and the gain down all the way and everything else cranked I've found myself hitting that old Muddy Waters tone every once in a while. It's also a great little harmonica amp.
I'm working on a harmonica case with a built in speaker right now, and my plan is to use the Hodad as a kind of mini head. I may stop using my Valve Junior if this build pans out.
  • i cant say any thing for the ho-dad either but i will say i have always been impressed with denelectro its not top notch stuff but its good gear for the price.
  • I can't vouch for the Ho-Dad.....but I've got a honey-tone. I does what they say and it's worth every dime for the "fun" factor. I t has a sound that, IMHO, suits a CBG very well.
