CBG for a total newbie

So I posted a post about my canjo the other day and the replies have implied moving to a CBG for added fun. However, would a CBG be fairly easy to pick up for a total newbie with absolutely no musical experience except a canjo. I wouldn't go anymore than a 3 string. Are they fairly easy to play with no previous experience? Cheers
