Some fun stereo 4 string CBG riffage with two amps. OctaveDrone is a pretty harsh weird fuzz, towards the end it's total slag. Hall of Fame reverb pedal is going to be endless reverb enjoyment. Overdrive I normally use with bass but works well for CBG slide.

  • Been enjoying all of your pedal to amp tests! Keep em coming! This is cool!

I have a TC Hall of Fame. Really nice little box you got there.

    • Cool, glad you like them! Figured you'd dig the crazy distortion parts.

The Hall of Fame is great. I had a Boss RV5 for a short while and didn't like it much. I'd like the HoF to be brighter, but the Wild Dog in this guitar is maybe a bit too dark. Which is my fault, I put a gnarly overwound humbucker bridge up in the middle position and use a 56 tuned to D for the heavy string. It's going to get grungy.

I'm going to do some regular guitar ones as well - prob more punk rock than bluesy. I'll keep posting them.

  • That's a great "clean/not so clean" sound that your getting before the effects. I could play with that tone all day. What amps are you using?

    • Just the little Janky Amps (my brand) I make. They usually get a great overdrive sound at the top end of the gain knob rotation - more so with louder pickups / humbuckers. I used 15 watts w/ 10 AA batteries for this batch, so they can push a small speaker more than 1/2-3 watts, and used the best speakers I can find.

Had an internet pal trade for one the other day (how I got the Hall of Fame reverb, which does has much milder reverb settings than above), and the cool thing was he played through three of them multiple times to pick the best sounding one for what he does (played drop C post rock - doom on a Jazzmaster). He had a hard time deciding cuz they all sound a little different but he loved each one.

My problem is I want to keep them all. LOL.

      • Can't make any money if you keep them all and your place becomes cluttered like mine.

Little speakers can be easily overdriven, sometimes that's a good thing and sometimes not. If you need good inexpensive guitar speakers, give WGS a try. wgs4.com  They have a 8" 8ohm 20watt speaker for 39 dollars and several other good low watt speakers for low bucks.

        • So true. Three of them are at the local used record store. The other two leave tomorrow or Sunday. Two more in this same run to build, but so many speakers to choose from.

I bought boxes for six more today, plus a very cool art supply box - like a wooden briefcase. And I found the sweetest weird aluminum grill for it in the same junk shopping trip. That will have two speakers!

And I'll want to keep it. LOL.

Agree on the WGS. Weber are good for smaller ones too. Jensen MODS ok... But not Janky enough!
