Hi all, I have a single coil pickup from CB Gitty and am thinking maybe I don't need any volume or tone controls just wire it to the input jack and ground to the metal bridge. I'm thinking of doing it this way because I rarely use the controls on either of my Strats and would like the CBG to be as simple as possible. Am I missing something?

  • yup  , just    wire to  jack .  you  probably  wont have to   ground either  .

also  if it sounds    staticky      ,  reverse the way  you  attached the  wires     to  the  jack  . (swiitch them  around  ) .

    • Well I got it wired up and it sounds fantastic! I didn't ground the bridge and no hum whatsoever. Got a little fret buzz and need to play with the intonation but I very satisfied with the pickup and don't see me using piezo's anymore.

  • just strait wired will work great!

  • Not missing anything.  I've found that grounding the bridge is highly optional as well.
