Hi all, I have a single coil pickup from CB Gitty and am thinking maybe I don't need any volume or tone controls just wire it to the input jack and ground to the metal bridge. I'm thinking of doing it this way because I rarely use the controls on either of my Strats and would like the CBG to be as simple as possible. Am I missing something?

yup , just wire to jack . you probably wont have to ground either .
also if it sounds staticky , reverse the way you attached the wires to the jack . (swiitch them around ) .
Well I got it wired up and it sounds fantastic! I didn't ground the bridge and no hum whatsoever. Got a little fret buzz and need to play with the intonation but I very satisfied with the pickup and don't see me using piezo's anymore.
just strait wired will work great!
Thanks!
Not missing anything. I've found that grounding the bridge is highly optional as well.
