So I’m building a CB Gitty paint can guitar kit. I forgot to glue the candle ring hole covers in place, and didn’t realize it until I had the top of the box glued on. Oops! The candle rings have gobs of clearance in the sound holes, sooooo, I wound a bunch of old fashioned cotton parcel string around them, about three layers, and tied it off, enough string so the ring shanks slip fit with slight resistence, then coated the string liberally with wood glue and seated the rings in place. Scrubbed the excess glue off with a paper towel, and as they say, they ain’t goin’ nowhere. Figured I’d pass this along because ya know somebody else will either forget to install em or have one fall out....

There's always a way! This forum is full of our collective "oops" moments, sometimes even "$%&^@*^$%#$*&" moments. The solutions are always gonna help another builder. Good job.
