I got into guitar making the long way round, building lapsteels and then 'inventing' the 3 stringed pizza paddle - see my other pics. I've never actually seen a cigar box and I'm wondering if the 'plank with a piezo' school of building needs a different name.
Anyway, this is the result of all my recent thoughts on simplicity, durability, portability and coolness. of course, it ain't special; anyone could knock one of these up. I'm more excited about the music i'm gonna make with it: there's plenty of space behind the bridge to bend that fat string with the heel of my hand and make wub wub wub in da club club club type noises. Gonna put a killswitch on there for the same reasons. Then play it through the biggest speakers I can find.

A quick fix is a jumbo zero fret. Would take just a minute and look just fine.

the top string is buzzy so yeah. I'm waiting til my next lamb dinner to get a bit of bone.
