After making 20 cbgs hard habits are difficult to break.
All neck through designs
This one starts hard bridge style
By mistake I still cut out the opening on the box tail end and need to salvage this box
Should I exit by 1”???

There is a saying I've heard for years, and I have found it to be true; the sign of a luthiers skill is how well he covers his mistakes.
People keep saying there are " no rules", so what ever you come up with is your design feature.
As an example, I once covered up a mistake in a dreadnought guitar I built by inlaying a snake in the area to cover it. The customer sometime later ordered another guitar, and asked for the snake inlay in that one too.
If you've made 20 already, then I'm sure you can come up with some decorative feature to cover your mistake. One way would be to let the neck come out even with the end of the box. There are surely many other ways to cover the problem.
