OK, I've tried several times to upload my latest video of my performance of "Black Enough" at this year's KC CBG Fest, but something's going wrong in the conversion process. You can hear it among my videos, but the screen is just, well, GREEN. So, for those who are interested, here's the Youtube link. Let me know what you think...or maybe you shouldn't. Ha-ha-ha!

You have talent and no fear, but need more gear or the ability to operate it properly.
Then you could get the big bucks! lol
I just put up a post on home recording which could direct you to a buncha websites on how to use which gear to improve your performance and it's recording.
Seems to me, at my newbie level, you're gonna need someone operating the mixing board during the performance, better mics, compression and EQ devices... for starters.
and my two cents is probably not worth much more! lol

The sound man was also my accompanying guitarist and ours was the first performance, so that's why the quality isn't "great". I wasn't expecting studio quality from an amateur video of a live performance. Having said that, I thank you for you input just the same. I'll review any links you'd care to forward.
Really good stuff, my friend. I sincerely like it. It has a great tempo. The lyrics are strong too. Good stuff.......I didn't get to go to the CBG Fest, but I know Jason Vivone, and I just bought a couple CBGs from Linda Morrison. .......Hope to run into you sometime at the open mics I host.
Thanks, Larry. Yes, I hope to meet you in time. Next year we'll have another festival, so you should plan to come.
I really like the tempo and beat, steady chord structure. A good solid sound, and I like the clapping. Unfortunately the only vocals I can hear well is the refrain. I am missing the basis of the song. Do you have a link for the KKFI program?
If you'd like the lyrics, you can find them at the original Youtube site at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=32KQuwo91_o
I don't...not sure if there is a link. I'll find out for you.
Unfortunately the sound hadn't quite been dialed in at this point. The 1st order of business was to control the feedback (which is a HUGE battle in these situations).... and Terrance the sound guy was pulling double-duty on guitar for Kevin in the beginning, so on-the-fly mixing for the 1st couple of songs wasn't really an option.
This vid might give you a bit better sound, but it's probably about as good as it's gonna get....

Thanks a bunch, Joe! Much appreciated.
I mailed off a DVD yesterday with all the pics (good & bad) as well as video of the entire beginning of the show including your family's performances. If you'd like a copy of all the video I have, you could send me an SD card or two large enough for the files & I can return them to you.
Please feel free to use any of the pics/vids in any way you see fit.
