High strings from a normal set is what I meant. Get the tuning from imagining what notes would be played if a capo was on a normal guitar but at that distance from he bridge.
These things are great fun.
I'm glad it all came together. You know sometimes you just need to keep things acoustic. I'm sure it's a lot of fun without being amplified.
If you mean the ones nearest the nut by 'last' then yes it will work.
It's just like putting a capo on the fretboard.
Just count down 12 and double it to get the scale length.
Or..
Guess where the 12th would be and double the guess then use a floating bridge for first string up.. Tune your second string to harmonic 5ths of the first string and use this harmonic to fix the position of the first string bridge position. (This may take a bit of wiggling).
There's probably a better way to do it but I'm a lil bit past too many whiskey's just now to think about it.

Firsts: Tiny. Acid aged tuners. Zero fret. Wood burning.
I gave it to my wife! She says I still have to cut the grass, so I'll put a piezo in it next weekend...
Thanks for the encouragement guys, to not be disappointed when things don't go as planned, just go with it!
I love this thing. ...VIDEO: https://youtu.be/2yUeiU0XxwU

Nice job.
I think it should work now. And thanks I think your right I probably won't mess with it ;)
Danny,
It looks and sounds sweet. That's nice little build. I wouldn't change a thing.
OK, what now?
Just kidding.
Actually so what gauge strings? The high 3 or the low 3?
I find high works best on small scale.
Also, think capo to get a nice tuning without snapping strings.
Went with the same set I use on a full length, maybe it would be better with higher strings I'll try sometime!
Got a couple other boxes further along today too, but I'm the most excited about this one now!
OK I have been using templates for my frets so I don't know much.
The facts: It's the last 11 frets off sawed off a 25.5 scale board.. I'll Make a zero fret, and have 5.75" from Zero to 10th.
Option A. This looks good but will it work? I don't understand theory enough to know why it wouldn't, but it looks great & my wife likes it better.
Option B. Using a fret calculator, when I hit 13.1" scale length the math works and all frets check out.
So what say you gents. A or B? ...or is there something else to consider... besides counseling?
