  • just strung it last night; i liked the sound a lot. No real grip-grinding sound but that's the ropes with nylon strings.

Cool. Let me know how it goes. I have a set of baritone uke strings sittng around cuz I've discovered classical strings work better on my uke. Bassackwasrds, I know but thaw how I roll, dawg.
Probably gonna try the uke strings on my cbg if they're long enough... Hmmmm
I'm no luthier so this whole process is an adventure in error for me thus far.

  • I have made a 3 string baritone uke.
    • I scored a nice box yesterday and I've got my holes made for the neck to pass through. My neck is lookin good too! I whittled the headstock with a pocket knife and used some sandpaper and a couple wood files to get a nice shape. I can't believe it's coming along this smoothly cuz I'm far from mechanically inclined and have next to nothing for tools. I'll post some pics of my progress soon!

Hi Ghostwitch,i concur with tiny guitars....just put together a 2 string fretless box guitar yesterday doing that......actually, it's 3 stringed, but the first string position has a 'double' course....

      it's a much more quiet/mellow tone though....

      cheers,
