I'm sure some have better sound & range than others. I'm a bit confused which one to get. Any advise? Thanks

As far as I can tell it doesn't matter much. More important is running it into a good preamp.

See the Digikey link I put in the other piezo thread for a good supplier of cheap piezos. I use those pretty much exclusively now.
