Hi, AGP posted a photo of his recent acquisition of a small Suzuki parlor-style guitar.

I have the same model also, although I never thought of it as a Parlor guitar, due to its narrow fingerboard at the nut, just 40mm. AGP, yours would have been hard to play with nylon strings on I would imagine.

I would say it was built with steel strings in mind as the fingerboard nut, behind the zero nut, has perfectly sized slots for steel strings, and slotted peghead steel string tuners are fitted.

It's built using hide glue, by the looks of the glue mess inside. However, the main top braces have become unglued somewhat, leading to a sunken top, but giving a perfect action. I fear repairing the top would raise the strings and may lead to the need for a neck reset.

The bracing looks ahead of its time, it is similar to Taylor Guitars V class style bracing that was introduced around 2018. The number on the headstock is 430113.

AGP, now that you made me get it off the wall I'm going to have to restore mine too.

Oh, it cost me nothing, abandoned by a customer.
