  • I use my Lany 35w class A tube amp in a band situation, too heavy to cart around these days. with a Boss Bassman pedal and an Ibenez tube screener overdrive pedal.

If playing solo, and there's power available, I use a Vox 30w acoustic amp, small and light, with the Ibenez tube screemer pedal. It has two channels, one of which is valve pre amp and effects on both channels. It's good for vocals and guitar.

If there's no power I use my Pignose amp, I don't need a pedal as the amp is "dirty" all the time. I do use a reverb pedal with it as it tends to be a bit "dry" sounding to me.

  • thank you both
but i was more interested in what people here use to get their CBG Sound

always when i watch youtubevicdeos about amps and pedals or videos about such an app, i hear mostly metal

maybe my question is to much "general"

    • that pedal show is definitely not metal...

      • true, but as i said "i was more interested in what people here use to get their CBG Sound"

  • Hi Andreas, if you get the app, Jamm-up, I have the Pro version, it has heaps of different amp simulators and dozens of pedals. Amps can be selected and played through, pedals can be selected and plugged into the amp. This can be done in any order, one or all.

Pedals and amps can be set to you preference. You may need an iRig type gadget ,discussed here recently, to be able to play your guitar using the app into your iPad phone or computer.

  • if you want to know what pedals sound like then i would recomend watching "That Pedal Show"on youtube. Dan and Mick have many many videos all about different types of pedals how they get the sound they do and obviously play them. they also use various different amps.
