I like this simple idea for some fun collaboration.
I was actually tossing around a similar idea, I am thinking of posting a backing track for people to jam/practice to, and encourage people to post a recording of the result. I just hadnt fully developed a plan. I was trying to think of a way to delay posting the results so we could see what happens without people hearing each others ideas.
Anyway, I will work on something here, gotta get my recording rig set back up first! Seems this might be a fun way to practice and learn!
