I wrote the other day about how I have a strumstick that I have strung backwards, thin on top to thick below. It's tuned gdG. I've just started looking at very basic 'how-to' vids and obviously, they are all strung 'correctly'. I'm REALLY interested in

My question is, if I play that way, with the G carrying the 'tune' as it were, will the only effect be lowering the tune an octave? I ask for 2 reasons, 1. I like 'one finger' because of arthritis, and 2. I ain't nowhere near being a tenor, baritone's more like it, it's an easier register for me to sing.
