  • Keni, I'm like you...attracted more to the vintage guitars, but I am facinated at some of the designs (works of art) seen on the site. I haven't looked too much into the site.. but I did get to see Woody play a piece before you suggested him. Great stuff!
  • Thank you for sharing. I was thinking of going to see this. My friend Jimmy Millinchuk, the guitar builder suggested it. Although for me, this style of guitars (archtops) is not quite my cup of tea. In NYC, there are many very good displays of a wide variety of vintage guitars. Enjoy.

BTW: The clip Mark suggested watching is Woody Mann. I studied guitar with him for a little while. I credit him for helping me realize I needed to take a backward step and relearn a lot of my basics. He is a wonderful teacher and as a perfomer he is flawless. Enjoy.

  • There is some pretty amazing stuff there. I didnt even know Antonio Stradivari ever made a guitar! Can you imagine, a genuine Stradivarius guitar...... Cant even make a guess $$$$$$!

If you dig into the site a little there is some great clips of some of these vintage and priceless instruments being played. A couple of the Mandolin clips are great, but the sound from some of the archtop guitar clips are a great reminder of why the design is so amazing.

The video isnt available to embed here, but heres a good example, at the bottom of this page:
