95% done. This is usually where patience and following steps fly out the window.
All stained, al glued, was thinking maybe an oil finish....but.....no patience. It got spray 'matte', looks kind of satin.
As I posted yesterday, it's not perfect, but it's pretty damn good. I don't have a planer or jointer, so mating surfaces are not always the best. There are some small gaps along the fingerboard/neck and as good as green Frog tape goes, sticks well, does a good job right up until it doesn't, had a couple small edge leaks around the neck/body joint. My fallback comment is "Adds character".
Gonna try something different with the tuners, The top string (thickest) has it's tuner farthest away from the nut. I'm going to rotate the tuners a little so they 'present' themselves to the hand better. Looking at the guitar, the left (thick) string tuner drops some, and the right string (thinner) has it's tuner about 2 incher closer to the nut, but farther away from the player, so it will rise a little. Gives kind of a jaunty look too.
