This is my first reso type build. I have been wanting to try to build one, but couldn't find a cone. I was at a RV place on monday and seen a floor flange for a table. It was $1.97, and it was going home with me.
The floor flange is a little heavier than I was looking for. I cut a 2 1/16" hole in the lid, which is just a fuzz larger than the cone part of the flange. I used some 6-32 screws to mount it to the lid. Where the flange was sticking up through the lid I placed a stove burner, pan things over it also 2 drain covers for sound holes.
I haven't finished my neck for it yet, but I have put some wood blocks and corner brackets for support. I am still undecided on the bridge. I have a lathe and can turn biscuit or I can use a gator back plate bone.
Here are some pics fo what I have been doing. I would like some input on piezo placement and what I have done so far from the fine folks here..

Keep on the good work and first of all enjoy your building process without any concern of the final result and
you'll experience your own little miracle :)
