1st build, updated

I haven't been active in this forum for long time, and not with CBG building either. But I thought I'd share what happened with my 1st build. In 2014 I built this one:

Then in spring 2015 I thought I'd go with my original plan of how it should look like. I was kinda inspired by Motörhead merchandise (especially these: https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/41SiNxIVMVL.jpg )

In other words, black leather and metal :)

I was going to post pictures of it then in 2015 when it was finished, but it has slipped my mind several times.

When I put on the faux leather I was a bit worried that the sound would become slightly muffled and not as clear as it was, so I made a sound hole with a cover lid. I guess the cover lid is from some pipe or something, I don't know. It was something I found and thought I'd make use of.

But the leather didn't make the sound any much different, but the cover lid is a nice detail anyway I think :)

  • Coverings do have a slight mute effect, but it really depends on many things.
