A good day.

Yesterday was spent cleaning the garage (that continues tomorrow), but because the first thing I had done was replace a garage door spring, and got a sore back in the process,  today I worked on the bass.

Continuing to walk the razor's edge as far a s skillset goes, but no major malfunctions.|

The bass is shaped, sanded, and partially stained. I sanded for about 3 hours (it's still not perfect but what the hell...) and it should be done tomorrow.

Oh, it's gonna be cool. The oak neck is a nice golden color, the poplar fingerboard is ebony/black/ and the body will be a darkish reddish brown (Carrington).

Pix tomorrow.

P.S. Just had a flash about the baritone. My plan is to use a simple chrome strip-type tailpiece and a tune-o-matic bridge, but I don't like the arched bridge bar. How about fitting aluminum angle to the t-o-m posts?
