I am brand spanking new to CBN and have built 4 CBG'S so far. I have a ton to learn. I am hoping to gain a lot of knowledge from CBN. This should be fun and informative. I have as usual gone overboard and have already accumulated about 20 more cigar boxes of various types and sizes. Some of those things are so cool I just couldn't resist.  They are waiting patiently for me to bring them to life.

Anyhow, I have a question if anyone can help. Some of my cigar boxes are very long, over 20" I figure that with a 20" box, an 18" neck and about 5" for the headstock that's about  43" total for the neck. How do I build this thing still keeping 18" for the fret board and still try and keep a scale length that is tolerable. I want these to be electric as well. The way I have it figured I am looking at a 35" scale length. Is there some formula builders use when building these long box guitars? or am I missing something obvious?
