I just wanted to thank everyone who commented on my CBG build. I apologize for taking so long to write back. The idea for the saw blade came from wanting a metal resonating plate. I ground off all of the teeth to make it user friendly. the string guides where all cut out of a length of half inch aluminum channel. the fret board was a piece of oak I had standing in the corner of my garage. How many instruments have you built so far?
One an Apprehension Machine.
What do you find most interesting about cigar box guitars? (If you do not enter something meaningful here (at least one sentence long), your membership may be rejected as a spam/bot fake account).
I’m trying to expand the playability of the three string guitar on my Apprehension Machine. My machine has a three string guitar built into it with no specific tuning or fretting so although it makes sounds you can’t strum or pluck out a song.
