The guys at Calderwood Percussion in Boston, MA built a snare drum using 2x4 planks and minimal hardware. They produced a humorous video detailing the building process and a follow up "How Does It Sound?" video.

- Stave shell
- stave hoops
- wooden lugs
- wooden stainer and butt plate
- gut snares
- Evans heads
- 1/4-20 fasteners
- 12-24 tensions rods and nuts.
