Here's a song that my old picking buddy and true friend Eddie and I recorded around 1990. I had a cheap Strat copy and played an original riff for him. He heard it once and we recorded this live on a boom box cassette recorder. he played a Carvin guitar through a Carvin tube amp. This is the only song I have recorded of us playing. He passed away in 2008 ans he is sorely missed.

@ Wes Carl - Yep.  I wouldn't take anything for it. Thanks!

@Kevin - You are correct my friend. Thanks!

@Jeff - He sure did. Thanks!

@ Silent Jim - Great words! Thank you!  He'd appreciate the comparison to Ernie.

Thanks Roadkill. Eddie's music would have been a gift to the world had he ever been "discovered".  He only got better from this point. He was a gem.

Mike. Thanks for letting us into what must be a very precious memory for you. That is a lovely bit of music and a really nice tribute to someone who was obviously a very good player.

Thanks James! I've kept the cassette for years and a friend at the local music store bounced it onto a cd for me today. Eddie's first name was James, by the way and he could rock a wah pedal kinda like another James we know lol.

Thank you Uncle John.  Eddie would have loved the cigar box guitar movement.  He could whoop out a Bic cigarette lighter and play some wicked slide on a regular six-string.  I can only imagine what he would have done on a CBG.
