This is a song I wrote for my Grandson when he was a toddler. Thought I’d play it for these children who had been dancing to the previous song. They danced to three or four songs, which gave their Mum’s chance to sit down and chat for a bit… (They hadn’t met before)

I have got some magic paints,
everything I paint with them comes true.
I’m mixing up some red and yellow
and lots and lots of blue.

I’ll paint all of your favourite things
and lots you’re never seen.
Some of them will be so strange
you’ll think you’re in a dream.
I’ll paint some cows in sky blue pink,
some pigs fluorescent green,
a spotty cat with sixteen legs
eating an ice cream.

I’ll paint a rocket that will take us
right up to the moon.
There we’ll eat some floating peas
with a giant spoon.
I’ll paint us up some aliens,
we’ll take them home with us.
We will get some funny looks
when we get on the bus!

When I’m old and getting bored,
need something new to see,
then it will be time for you
