I haven't found any four string retainers sold separately but I know they make them. They supply them with their four stringer kits. The last couple kits I've ordered from Gitty have have holes drilled into the plywood instead of the slots. They'd be easy enough to make.

Gees. The string separation and 'hold down' are critical and that setup has to make it easier and more precise. I like zero frets. Very nice looking headstock, neck, fretting and contrast of wood tones.

If I need to order CBG stuff this fall or winter, I hope I remember to try some of those string guides. Does he sell them for a four string?
