I have done only 1 dog bowl reso, you can see in my little pic to the left. That had a piezo glued under the dog bowl. Was way to noisy when plugged in. If I do another I will definitely put padding and will use a capacitor as well. I did not know the capacitor tip back then.  Also I have not used a pre-amp, but hear they work well when using piezo's.

Looks nice naked!, a light stain and a clear lacquer instead of paint!  :-)
