Right this is a blank canvas for anyone to join in on.
I'm a bit worried that some people think that they won't be able to do anything "good enough" to put on here.....so if those backing tracks were a bit daunting, here's me thumping a pile of books, which is about as basic as it gets!! I looped it to make it 4 mins long.
Imagine this as a casual jam.... what you record doesn't have to be perfectly recorded, or perfectly played. Lets just have some fun!!
This track was was used in the infamous "Bed Warmer Blues"!!!....and I actually bruised my hand doing it, so it would be good to get a bit more back from it!!
IF YOU WANT TO ADD A TRACK, right click, then choose "save as" to save the THUMP to your computer. Record something along to it then post your track back on here.
If we get enough tracks I can mix them together...or anyone who wants to can do that once the tracks are up here. We might even be able to make several songs!!
This is the first discussion I've ever done on here, so PLEASE someone add something, otherwise I'll feel like I've thrown a party and no one has turned up : -/

Great idea.. here are some short ones... as my hard drive is now full!!
so I can't get a full record length..
I just thought after I did this (with no idea on my tuning... copied from my balalikithingamagig) you might need a common tuning point, maybe you could link to a common tuning example on youtube, or place one up we can all tune to?... assuming all our computer speeds will read these tones at the same frequency?
By the way I just saw "shovel man" on youtube...so my snow shovel idea has unfortunaltely already been done!!
will paste a link on my page.
Great idea by the way and let me now if you need some wailing from me?
Maybe we could use space for some word ideas too, and write some words at the end of the jam?
Best regards
407bug
lol so this is guess the tuning? Can someone with an 'ear' please let us either know what bug has played in or put up something that you can remember the tuning..
I've volunteered to pop something up for the Gasong that no doubt Be or Bug can do some loopey magick with.
Just downloaded bugs files, they sound great!!..the tuning seems to be somewhere between B and Bb so it would be difficult to play your gasong to I think.
You'd need to do something stringy that you can tune between the notes. Hey that could be the song's name "between the notes"!!
they sound great along with the beat!!...yeah I didn't think this through, should have agreed on a key to start with!!...but can't people just tune into whatever the first person does? Your's seems to be between B and Bb, so a key board player wouldn't be able to add to it, but all stringy things would work.....how about calling it "Between The Notes"???
Can you run it through a filter to pop it into one or tother??
no I have no such filter thing....I can make things go up or down by a semitone at at a time, but this is in between that so I can't do it : - (
Here's bugs files made into loops (not actually proper loops as they change speed if I do that!?) You can put them in your software and copy and paste to make them as long as you want.
I've also done my THUMP to the same length
Okay, here is my offering. Random samples of stuff. I'm sure you will find something to loop in amonst this lot
and a bit more... again random bits that should fit in somewhere...
THANKS..I've had a quick listen...not sure how to use the bedpan and warmer ones as the timing and key is different, but the others will work!! Got to stop now and do sociable Sunday things, but will get back to it when I can : -)
thanks Penny, just downloading them..boug for bug, lol!!
Funny thing is me mum was saying that bedwarmers also killed the bed bugs... so we are playing bugkillers...
gotta get off to bed Sunday night here..... same ol' same ol'.
