Hi!

Do you mean what chord is in your guitar? It's A major, so key is A major.

I was about to ask about that, what with me playing in (A) the Harmonica should be in (D)

and im after that Ben Prestage sound like at Boxstock

That kinda deep bass train sound, he had a cover over the Harmonica do you know what that was for ??

with the Harmonica, there are generally 2 styles: Straight Harp and Cross Harp

 

Straight Harp:

The emphasis is on the blow and the Harp is in the same key as the song, this style is usually used for Jazz and Pop

 

Cross Harp:

The emphasis is on the suck and the Harp key is 4 away from the song key, so if you are playing in A Major, the harp should be in D Major, C would be F, G would be C, E would be A and so on. Cross Harp is style generally used for Blues.

 

I though break all of the rules, as I usually play Straight Harp style on a Cross Harp, ie: 4 notes away from the song key, but with the emphasis on the blow.

 

I use Honhor Pro Harps, they are Bassy!
