This could be git related or not. So, what's on your workbench at the moment?

I have 4 scarf joint necks in different stages of work.

A 25" scale pine 5 string neck for a Banjo-Res, A 25" scale Red Oak neck for my 6 string Strat-Res build, A 24 & 1/2" scale Red Oak neck for my 6 string Double Cut Tele build and a 27" scale 6 string Baritone Conversion neck for a Modern Strat body I have.

Hey, Taffy, Thanks! What would I use to seal the ends?

Wax if you have it, or paint, anything that will dry hard-ish. Just to fill the endgrain.
Taff

I'll use wax as you suggested. Thank you!

Just put one of my enclosures that I had built almost a year ago to use.  Got me one of those Gitty Artec Tone controls and ... Holy Crap! It woke up my low-z pups. I thought it would, but the sound level increase and the overdrive made me giggle... a LOT!  WOOOOO!!!

I bought one of those Black Ice distortion like clipping effects from Stewmac years ago and put it in a guitar I had with 500k pots and vintage wind humbuckers and it was fantastic. Later I changed bodies and removed the Black Ice to make a pedal out of it, but it wasn't the same.
Some of those effects work better in other guitars/situations than others so if you get one you don't like, hang on to it and try it in something else before selling it on. Happy accidents do happen. ;)

You’re bringing me back to the 90’s with that one Paul! True about that not working in every situation, I bought a few Black Ice back then, worked good in my Strat & not so great in others.

I bought mine in 2009 and I heard that the older ones were better than these newer ones. Someone told me it doesn't work as a pedal because your supposed to replace your tone cap with it, so a pedal effect should work well with volume only guitars. Same for a tone control pedal probably.

Everything except my Schecter is pickup direct to jack. Gonna have to start putting volumes on some of them and in future builds. Both the Gitty tone and Gitty  "Psycho"  add a lot of options and volume. Ben might hate me for saying this, but so far after just an hour of comparison, I prefer the tone control. I'm tickled to have both, though. Lots of versatility.

A good amp hack.

Buy a decent 20watt 10 or 12 inch guitar speaker and make a cabinet for it. Look on Ebay or Facebook Marketplace for a used or new 20watt PA. I just bought my second Realistic 20watt PA for 20 bucks.
1. Plug your guitar into your small 1/2watt Ruby or Smokey amp, 2.5 or 5 watt amp module from Gitty or internet.
2. Use your little amp as a preamp plugged into the PA.
3. PA plugged into your speaker cabinet.

So with a little wood and cabinet making along with some ingenuity and 60 to 100 bucks you could have a decent 20watt guitar amp. If your Gitty Cigar Box amp has a line out, you could plug the PA and speaker to that for added enjoyment.

OOOOOooooo. I like this.... Hadn't thought of a PA. Thank you, Paul!

I got two of these. They are 8 inchers, but I guess they'll do.

I like the WGS speakers. I made a Dual chip Ruby type amp years ago and used a 10" WGS Veteran speaker. It was awesome. I may have that build in these pages somewhere. Hahaha

As a returned favor to Dave Lynas, I thought I'd offer to build him a scatterwound. He hoped I would post a pic on the Nation. This is the wood core of the bobbin in the process of shaping and smoothing.
