I don't have a diagram but I can tell you how I did it.
- Find a picture of a firebird that was taken completely flat and perpendicular to the guitar.
- Insert the picture into a power point document
- Blow it up to the actual size you want.
- Print it in sections
- Tape it together
- Use carbon paper to transfer the pattern onto wood.
