I don't have a diagram but I can tell you how I did it.

  • Find a picture of a firebird that was taken completely flat and perpendicular to the guitar.
  • Insert the picture into a power point document 
  • Blow it up to the actual size you want.
  • Print it in sections
  • Tape it together
  • Use carbon paper to transfer the pattern onto wood.
