Always looking for new places to store my ever growing collection of Gits, they were starting to build up in the corners etc., ala Dave Lynas Style, but getting access to the Gits I have stashed away in the cupboards behind, was starting to become a bit of a pain in the derrière, already had one 8 Git Carousel, so added another two, to solve the access problem, probably be more of them built in the future! :-D

Yep! Keith, first thing I noticed when opening my Emails this morning, it's nice to be recognised, the claim that it was my invention, isn't quite right, when I built the first one some 8 years back, I'm sure I would have stolen the idea from someone or somewhere, from memory I think it may have been in an online Guitar Shop, I was looking at for some reason :-)

Your carousel was in Gitty's news letter today.

Each to their own preferences dUTCH wIGMAN, built my first Carousel abt 8 years ago, and have never had a Git fall off    ;-)

Yep! 'UJ', the latest solution to my problem about where to store the new Git's I keep building, Hanger Shelving is the usual way to go, but as you probably already know, there is no hanging room left on my walls, in my cupboards, or in my main storage shed, so will probably end up with a room full of mobile Carousels :-D

"Thanks Ducati Scotty & Ducati Scotty ", No plans as such, but a simple enough DIY Project, the measurements and materials I used on these two Carousels are, Base: 12mm thick x 600mm diameter Pine Plywood, Centre: Pole 35mm x 35mm wide x 650mm long Clear Pine, Top: 12mm thick x 300mm diameter Pine Plywood, the 8 Neck Scallops are 60mm wide x 30mm deep, and the Necks are secured by Button Heads Screws and Large Flat Elastic Rubber Hair Bands, and four 40mm White Plastic Swivel Castors are screwed onto the underside of them for mobility.

Of course these measurements and materials are open to ones own preferences. :-)

I rather stay with the PVC rack, less chance of them falling and better support  Regardless of the neck  sticking our or flat end.  The body is up and the neck is down,

That's handy.  Good eye deer.  I am going to add some git hanger shelving in the den when the weather warms.

Very nice!  What diameter is the bottom?

I would love to build a couple of these.  Do you have plans that I can purchase, or better yet I will buy a couple from you if you build them..

Thanks

Frank
